My Family

In my family there are 5 people: my mother, my father, my sister, my brother, and me.
My sister is older than me, and she is a doctor. My brother is younger than me, and he is a student. They are very different from me, but I think my brother is more like me than my sister.
My parents are old, but they act young. Sometimes it is embarrassing. My father is also a doctor, and my mum is a manager in a business.
My sister is going to be married soon. I think her fiance is a nice guy. He works in a restaurant, and is very good at basketball.
My brother is single, and recently split up with his girlfriend. I am Ok with that because she was not very nice.
I love my family, but I do not see them often. Each Christmas, however, we get together.

Upgrade:

In my immediate family there are 5 people: as well as myself, there is my mother (who is very funny), my father (a horrible old man who drinks like a fish), my sister, my brother, and me.
My sister, Lena, is 5 years older than me, and is a cardiologist at a new hospital in Washington, whilst my brother Tom is a couple of years younger than me and is a third-year geography student at UCLA. They are both very different from me – like chalk and cheese, you could say – but I think my brother is more like me than my sister because at least we both enjoy some of the same pastimes.
My parents are old, in their late 50s, but they act young, which can be embarrassing (last year at my sister’s birthday, for example, my mother was dancing on the table). My father is also a doctor, although he is a gastroenterologist, and my mum is a manager in an electronics manufacturing company specialising in cable TV boxes.
My sister is engaged and going to be married in September. Her fiance is an easy-going, amiable guy who works as the maitre d’ in a French restaurant down town, and is an excellent basketball player.
Tom is single, and recently split up from his glamorous girlfriend of 3 years. That said, I am not displease: she was an arrogant, selfish piece of rubbish, who thought her looks meant she could treat people like dirt.
I love my family a lot, despite our problems, but I do not see them often. Each Christmas, however, we reunite and share some quality time.
