Killing the Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs

One day a farmer went to the nest of his goose and found, to his surprise, a yellow, shiny egg. When he picked it up it was heavy. When he looked at it closer he saw that it was made of gold.
Each morning after that the farmer returned and found another golden egg. By selling the eggs, the farmer soon had a lot of money. However, as he got more money, so he became greedy.
‘Why should I wait for each egg, one day at a time? I can just cut the goose open and take all the eggs at once.’
So the farmer killed his goose and cut it open. Inside there was no gold.

Moral: Too much greed can ruin what you have
